The road to my first show has been rather difficult. To avoid being labelled a whiner, I’ll explain why using the mediums of storytelling, music and song.
This show will include a preview of songs from my upcoming first album that I wrote in anger, but everyone else seems to think are hilarious.
Here are some rave reviews of the material so far:
“Graham needs a constant stream of shit swirling around him to inspire his creativity” – Mel Forbes, Guitarist from Girls on the Avenue & my music theory teacher.
“I prefer Graham’s playing to the sound of a helicopter” – Michael, who I met in a park in Melbourne.
“I probably shouldn’t have let that happen” – Michael Brown, Saxophonist in The Protesters & my music composition teacher, after hearing one of my songs in class.
“Absolutely brilliant love your work big time!” – Frank Burgo, my guitar teacher.
“I just wish he’d clean up his room” – My mum
“I thought playing music was supposed to relieve my stress, not increase it” – My inner dialogue, after a challenging songwriting class.
