My bespoke workflow is highly intuitive, based on whatever subconscious thoughts and ideas come to me. The next idea was to use granular synthesis in Alchemy to manipulate the sound of a female orgasm. Our lecturer had taught us granular synthesis in class, so I’m sure he’ll approve, and this seems like the ideal use for it.

I did some extensive research looking for the perfect sample on PornHub, but all the clips there felt fake and the audio quality wasn’t particularly good since it’s mainly a video site. Nevertheless, I kept searching and came across this one I liked on freesound.org, which even includes a reference to God and I thought would be perfect to end the track.

I clipped out the most interesting part of the sample, which according to Alchemy has a fundamental frequency of B3:

To this I applied granular synthesis to the sample with two taps, a 50% spacing, heaps of random pan and an AHDSR envelope with a very long release time. I also analysed the tempo of the moans in the sample, and they averaged about 112.6 BPM, so I slowed it down to 89.3% to match the 100.605 BPM of The Message. I also felt that the perfect place for our granular orgasm was an ancient church, so I threw on a convolution reverb effect:

I tried a couple of ideas for playing the sample. Chords didn’t sound so good since it sounded like a muddy orgy. Walking down the octave from B to C sounded pretty interesting:
